A fantastic time was had by all this week as year one and two at Padiham Green were fully immersed in a 'China Day!' Thanks to the UCLan Confucius Institute (a partnership between UCLan, Beijing International Studies University and Hanban) the children in Mrs Edwards and Miss Whittle's class enjoyed learning some basic Chinese phrases, lantern making, paper folding, playing traditional playground games and learning all about the legend of nian the dragon! What a great start to the Chinese New Year celebrations....新年好 xīn nián hǎo !
